MR. HARRY C. THOMAS
METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYfcR Ml*. Harry C. Thomas, the recently appointed manager for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Ltd., in New Zealand, has had a long and varied experience in the motion-picture business. His initial experience was gained in New Zealand territory, and later on in America and the Far East, where he occupied an executive position for a period of nearly three years. Prior to his recent arrival here, he was associated with liis present organisation in Queensland. Several years ago Mr. Thomas realised that the fast-moving picture industry required close contact with events in other parts of the world, and he decided that knowledge would be better acquired by practical exper-
ience forthcoming from travel. During his sojourn in the Far East, when he was mostly situated at Sourabaya in Java, Mr. Thomas learned to speak fluently the necessary languages from personal contact with his numerous clients.
It has been a great pleasure for him to renew his old associations in this country, and it is his intention to endeavour to meet all the exhibitors throughout the territory.
