EMPLOYER’S RODE LETTER &rep* Association WELLINGTON, Friday. Tii# proprietor of a clothing manufacturing business, Alexander ■von Batenburg, was to-day fined £lO and costs on a charge of having sent *-n indecent document through the post. He had advertised for a staff and replying to a married woman who had applied he had used a certain word. His excuse, that he had had trouble by inexperienced people applying to him for positions and work being foiled, did not prevent the magistrate from taking the view that the defendant had no other desire than to be insulting.
