The desirability of the Government completing the construction of the rail, way lino between Paeroa and Poken* was stressed in tho House of Representatives yesterday afternoon by >i r A. >l. Samuel (Thames). He gave notice to ask the Minister of Railways (the Hon. W. B. Taverner) whether the Government would cooplete the line. He said that tlie work would save 40 miles of dead hauling between Auckland and the East Coan, and would relieve congestion at several stations.
