RENT FROM OLD HOME
PENSION AS A RIGHT (THE SUN'S Parliamentary Reporter> WELLINGTON. To-day. An alteration to the Old Age Pensions Act is desired by Mr. If. S. Kyle (Riccartonj, so that income from rent for old people may be exempted in the computation of the pension. He gave notice to ask the Minister of Pensions (the Hon. W. A. Veitcb; whether he would bring down legislation to amend the Act to provide that income derived by way of rent from the home previously occupied by the pensioner is not taken into consideration, but is exempted in the same way as the full value of the home was prioi to the pensioner through sickness or infirmity having to vacate the home
