“WRATH OF THE GODS” Once more U.F.A. lias shown that there are fields of pictorial beaiUy as yet barely explored by the camera. In the pursuit of this beauty free rein has been given to the imagination. , .. The latest creation introduces under its melodramatic title a mass of mazingly beautiful Alpine material, woven into a story that expresses something of the spirit of the mountains amid which it is set. This spirit is epitomised in the fearless bravery of the mountain climbers, and the unrestrained joie-de-vivre of the dancer, who enact the “triangle” drama. Toward the close of the picture contrast is made between the two mountaineer rivals hanging upon the brink of death in a blizzard, and the girl dancing her new “dance of joy” to a theatre audience. Th’s excellent entertainment, entitled “Wrath of the Gods,” was thoroughly appreciated by everyone at the Everybody’s Theatre last eveniri The second picture, “Hot Heels,” was a bright American comedy-drama of second-rate vaudeville shows and the famous Havana steeplechase, stalling that clever comedian.
