S.M. REFUSES BAIL

WATERSIDE WORKER BEFORE COURT “No, 1 will not grant bail. 1 gave bail to a man facing a charge similar to the one made against you a few days ago, and he has appeared before the court again.” Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., is taking no more chances with charges of breaking and entering, and so refused Kenneth Malcolm McDonald’s application for bail this morning. McDonald, a waterside worker, aged 42, was charged at the Police Court with breaking and entering the warehouse of John Robinson on December 11 and stealing serge valued at £57. On the application of Chief-Detective Hammond a remand was granted until Thursday.
