COLLAPSE ON DECK

WHARF LABOURER’S DEATH While helping to load the Union Steam Ship Company's Waipahi at Queen's Wharf last evening a wharf labourer. Mr. Arthur Aolroyd. a married man. living ar. 17 Oliphant Street, Ponsonby. collapsed on the deck. The St. John Ambulance was called but Mr. Aolroyd died before it reached hospital. Mr. Aolroyd had complained of illness during the morning. but bad worked on as usual. The gang had just started work after a pause to take shelter from a skewer when he collapsed.
