With practically no alteration in the allocations, the whole personnel of the Ministerial secretariat of Parliament has been absorbed. Most of the private secretaries will carry on under the new regime in the departments in which they were serving when the new Government took office. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. day afternoon that the allocation of private secretaries was as follows: Prime Minister, Mr. C. A. Jeffery; Minister of Lands and Agriculture, Mr. A. W. Mulligan; Minister of Defence, Mr. G. F. Dixon; Minister of Native Affairs and Cook Islands Department, Messrs. H. R. H. Balneavis and A, J. Conway; Minister of Education, Mr. W. I. Deavoll;. Minister of Labour, Mr. F. M. Sherwood; Minister of Public Works, Mr. N. E. Hutchings; Minister of Railways, Mr. T. R. Aickin: Postmaster-General, Mr. W. R. King; Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr E. N. G. Poulton; Minister of Marine, Mr. F. G. Matthews; Minister of Health, Mr. J. T. Waugh; AttorneyGeneral. Mr. S. Y. Jones. Mr. W. J. Slianly, who was secretary to the Minister of Agriculture, has yet to be posted to a Minister. The position of Mr. Frank Thomson as permanent head of the Prime Minister's Department, remains, of course, unaltered.
