ANCHORING IN CHANNEL • FISHERMAN FINED Emphasising the danger of small boats anchoring in the main channel, Air. E. C. Cutten, S.M., yesterday fined A. Watson, a baker, £1 and costs. Watson was summoned to the Magistrate’s Court to answer a charge of anchoring his fishing boat right in the middle of the main channel. He explained that he had been in the habit of anchoring his boat in the channel for 15 years, and had always found it safe. There was good fishing to be found there.
