“POWDER MY BACK” Tlife talented actress, Irene Rich, has a role well adapted to her capabilities In "Powder My Back,” the comedydrama at the Lyric Theatre. She appears as Fritzi Foy, a musical comedy star, who seeks revenge against the Mayor, who had” exposed a publicity hoax involving Miss Rich and her Press agent, Andre Beranger, and subsequently ordered the authorities to close the show. As the story continues, Miss Rich’s heart softens, and a romance develops between her and the man she sought to injure. The second feature is “The Skyrocket,” a story revealing the lives and experiences of Hollywood stars, and dealing particularly with an actress, .her sudden rise to fame, and her equally sudden return to obscurity. Peggy Hopkins Joyce has the leading role.
Paul Fejos, who lias just completed “Erik the Great” at Universal City, is preparing “Spring Showers,” from an original by the Hungarian author, Ilona Fullop. Mary Philbin will be the star.
