“Subscriber.” —The Seddon Government was in reality the Liberal-Labour Government, and always claimed this title, though it was frequently referred to as the Liberal Government. About shortly after Mr. Seddon assumed the Premiership, the Liberal-Labour Federation became the organisation backing the Government, and thus it remained until 1911, when the first Labour member was elected as a separate entity from the Liberal-Laboir faction. The Liberal-Labour Federation itself fell away on account of tn* Parliamentary Party being strongenough at the time without its activ* support. Rallanee was a straight-ou'. Liberal.—Ed., The Sun.
