The English cricketers to-day commenced a two days’ match at Warwick against a combined country team. The home side in its first innings was dismissed for 128 runs (McCoombe 36, Peachey 38). Freeman took eight wickets for 32 runs, Geary one for 30. England made 427 for six wickets in their first innings (Sutcliffe 77, Tyldesley 115, Hammond 110).
