PERSONAL.—The Kamona was recommissioned at Auckland on Saturday in temporary command of Captain YV. W Render. Messrs. S. W. Hodson and J ‘V. Broadhouse are act-ing-chief and second officers respectively of the vessel. Captain E. J. McClellan has joined the Opihi as temporary master, relieving Captain A. F. Inman, who has transferred to the Waimea, relieving Captain Wahlstrom for instructions. The Katoa has been recommissioned at Auckland, and is in command of Captain Y. G. B. Bilton, with Messrs. J. Warcup and D. J. R. McKenzie as chief and second officers respectively. Mr. J. Duncan has joined the Kahika as second officer, relieving Mr. D. Duckett, who has transferred to the Tamahine, relieving Mr. R. H. C. Hargreaves for holidays. PORT FREMANTLE HOME. —Cabled news has been received by the C. and D. Line that the Port Fremantle arrived at London on Thursday morning from Wellington. The vessel left there on October 31. KUROW SAILS TO-NIGHT. —The Union Company’s steamer Kurow, at present berthed at Prince’s "Wharf, will leave Auckland for Portland at ten o’clock this evening to load for Wellington and Lyttelton. PAREORA TO LOAD.—The Geo. H. Scales Company, Ltd., advise that the steamer Pareora is due in New Zealand waters about Christmas from Port Pirie to load for Continental ports, London and Hull. KATOA SAILED.—A departure from Auckland on Saturday evening was the Union Company's steamer Katoa, which had been berthed at Prince’s Wharf. She will call at Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff. TOFUA LEAVES SUVA.—The Union Company’s Island steamer Tofua left Suva on Saturday on the round trip of the Tongan and Samoan Islands. The vessel will return to Suva and will leave for Auckland on December 23. She is due on December 27. SILVER SHELL TO-MORROW.—With a cargo of bulk oil from San Pedro, the tanker Silver Shell is expected to arrive at Auckland to-morrow. She will berth at Western Wharf to pump the local consignment of her cargo into the Shell Company’s tanks. WAI RUN A FOR AUCKLAND.—The Union Company's transpacific cargo steamer Wairuna left San Francisco for Auckland on Saturday, and is due on January 5. After unloading the local consignment of her cargo of case oil and general merchandise from Pacific Coast, Canadian and American ports, the vessel will complete discharge at Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. WAIKAWA AT VANCOUVER.—The Union Company’s transpacific cargo steamer Waikawa arrived at Vancouver from Sydney on Saturday,* and after loading is expected to leave next Saturday for San Francisco and Los Angeles, clearing the last-named port on January 4 for Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth. The vessel is due at Napier on January 31. KENT TO LOAD.—The New Zealand Shipping Company reports that the Kent left Brisbane on Wednesday fox' Wellington, where she was to have arrived this morning to replenish her oil fuel supplies. She will proceed from Wellington to load at Napier, Bluff, Timaru, Port Chalmers and Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington again on January , 7, and will sail from there on January 10 for London, via Panama and Curacao. NIAGARA FOR AUCKLAND. The Royal Mail liner Niagara, which arrived at Sydney on Saturday from Auckland, is to sail again on Thursday on the return trip. She is due here on Monday, and leaves for Vancouver, via Suva, Honolulu and Victoria, on Tuesday. December 18. CORINTHIC LEFT SOUTHAMPTON. —The Shaw. Savill and Albion liner Corinthic, which left London on Thursday for 'Wellington, sailed from Southampton on Saturday. The vessel is due at Wellington, with passengers, mails and general cargo, on aJnuary 14. and will be at Auckland for discharge on January 21. CUMBERLAND AT NAPIER. The Federal steamer Cumberland, which sailed from Auckland on Saturday evening last for Napier, arrived there at one o’clock this morning. She is to continue the discharge of her Liverpool cargo at Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin also. OTOKIA DOCKS. Arriving in the stream at Auckland shortly after nine o’clock this morning from Wellington, the Union Company’s tanker Otokia docked shortly before noon at Calliope in connection with her annual overhaul and survey. On completion slie is to sail direct for San Pedro. WAJPAHI REPORTS. Due at Auckland at six o’clock to-morrow morning, according to her radio report received to-day by the local office of the Union Company, the fruit steamer Waipahi will berth at Queen’s Wharf to discharge. On Wednesday she is scheduled to sail for Wellington, Dunedin and Lyttelton. LORNASTON TO DOCK.—The steamer Lornaston is expected to complete discharge of her cargo at King’s Wharf tomorrow. The vessel will then go into dock at Devonport before sailing for Westport where she will replenish bunkers. Her forward movements are not yet known. Henderson and Macfarlane, Limited, are the local agents. RONA ARRlVlNG.—Expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland at three o’clock this afternoon, according to a further radio report received by the local office of the Colonial Sugar Refining Company this morning, the sugar steamer Kona will berth at Chelsea at half-past five to put out the local portion of her cargo of raw sugar from Fiji. The remainder is for Sydney. PORT HARDY TO LOAD.—The C. and D. Line advises that the Port Hardy is due in the Wanganui roadstead from Launceston on December 19 to commence loading for London. She will also load at New Plymouth. Pieton and Wellington, arriving at the capital on January 2. The vessel is to leave Wellington on January 3 for Port Chalmers and Lyttelton and is timed to sail from Lyttelton on January 11 for London, via Pa nama. PORT WELLINGTON ARRIVES. Early this morning the Comomnwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Wellington ax-rived in the stream at Auckland from New Plymouth, and berthed at Prince’s Wharf to continue loading for New York and London. The vessel will next proceed to Gisborne, and is scheduled to sail finaly from Napier on December 31. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company are the local agents. CANADIAN HIGHLANDER SAILED.— With repairs to her damaged propeller completed and her cargo restored to its original position, after having been moved In order to filt the vessel and life the propeller clear of the water, the Canadian Government steamer Canadian Highlander went from King’s Wharf to Western Wharf on Saturday- to take in oil fuel. The vessel sailed on Saturday evening for New York. Boston and Halifax.
