BIG REVENUE INCREASE WAITEMATA POWER BOARD The satisfactory progress of the Waitemata Electric-Power Hoard was brought before members at the meeting of the board this morning. Mr. J. W. Hayden was in the chair. The chairman said 792 connections had been made within the past eight months. These included 131 stoves, 203 water-liearters, 17 new milkingmotors and 26 other motors. The resident engineer, Mr. F. J. 11. Wilson, was authorised to call tenders, returnable at the end of January, 1929. for seven 100-K.V.A. transformers, the engineer’s estimate of the total cost being £SOO. The gross sales of current for the month of November amounted to £4,630 19s 6d, compared with £4,287 Is lOd for the corresponding month last year, an increase of £363 17s Bd. The total sales of current for the eight months ended November 30, 1928. were £42.042 8s as against £33,237 5s lid for the corresponding period last year, an increase .of £8.785 2s Id. The board decided to protest against the Government Loans Board requirements in the matter of a three per cent, sinking fund. The next open board meeting wag fixed at .January 21.
