BRITISH SAILOR BOLTS FOR LIBERTY A seaman giving a British name, apparently between 30 and 35 years of age, applied for work on a ship at Ghent. As his papers were not in order he was advised to go to the British Consulate by the captain of the ship. A clerk at the Consulate telephoned to Antwerp to learn what was known about the sailor, and was told that the man should be handed over to the police as he was wanted for murder Hearing the clerk calling up the police station, the man took fright and fied. He has not since been heard of. He is accused of complicity in the murder of a Norwegian seaman who was attacked at Antwerp.
