Sir George Elliot returned from Wellington by the Limited this morning. The Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, returned 10 Auckland to-day from Wellington. Mr. C. Nathan arrived in Auckland this morning on the Limited from Wellington. Sir George Fowlds, who has been visiting Wellington, returned to Auckland this morning. Mr. H. H. Sterling, general manager ol the railways, arrived at Hamilton this morning from the South. Major-General ft. Young, G.O.C. New Zealand Forces, returned to Wellington by the Limited last evening. Dr. Kenneth Mackenzie, who has been visiting Wellington, returned to A uckland this morning. Mr. Justice Blair returned from Hamilton to-day. He has been presiding at the Supreme Court sessions. Dr. F. Helmore, of Christchurch, arrived by the Limited this morning from the South. He will leave for England on Thursday. Mr. M. H. Wynyard. motorists' representative on the Main Highways Board, left by the Limited for Wellington last evening. Mr W. Wallace, chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, and Mr. Somerville, secretary, wl» have been visiting Wellington, returned to Auckland this morning. Sir Frederic Lang, Sir Edwin Mitchelson, the Hon. E. W. Alison and Ihe Hon. C. T. Carrington, members of the Legislative Council, arrived from Wellington this morning on the Limited. The Hon. H. C. H. Bathurst, the second son of Lord Bledisloe, of Gloucestpr, together with Mr. E. C. Lysaght, of the English metal-working firm of Lysaght’s, Ltd., left yesterday afternoon by the Maunganul for Sydney. They intend to visit Lysaght’s Australian works. Mr. T. J. Reis, of Wales, will leave for the Dominion early in January to judge selections and quickstep sections in the New Zealand band contest. to be held In Wanganui at the end of February. Mr. C.
