TUDOR, REMUERA

“TRELAWNEY OF THE WELLS” A delightful story of the English nobility and the London stage of the *Bo’s, is “Trelawney of the Wells,” to be shown this evening at the Tudor Cinema, Remuera. The story concerns a you*ig actress who meets and falls in love with the scion of a noble family. Her lover’s uncle, a rigid old aristocrat, frowns at the idea of one of his line marrying “an actress” and she is asked to live in his home during the period of the engagement. The stifling atmosphere of the house cramps her spirit, and she finally revolts and goes bafk to the simple camaraderie of her stage friends, Norma Shearer and Ralph Forbes have the leading roles. “Fleetwing” is the title of the second attraction, a drama of love and hate among the Arabian bedouins.
