CARRIER FINED £3 CORONATION FESTIVITIES (From Our Oxen Correspondent) HUNTLY, To-day. At the Huntly Magistrate’s Court to-day, Norman George Wright, carrier, of Taupiri, was fined £3 and costs for supplying liquor to Maoris. Mr. F, H. Levien, S.M., .remarked that future cases would be met with by an increase in the penalty. Tuhi Waikato, for drunkenness, was convicted and ordered to pay costs. Jack Martin, for aiding and abetting Wright, was fined £3 and costs, and Whaka Jury 10s and costs. The cases all occurred on the anniversary day of the Maori King’s coronation.
