LATE MR. T. BASSETT

DARGAVILLE TRIBUTES (From Our Own Correspondent) DARGAVILLE, Thursday. Reference was made to the untimely death of the late Mr. Thomas Bassett at a special meeting of the Northern Wairoa Co-operative Dairy Company, of which deceased was chairman and managing-director. After all the members had paid suitable tribute to his memory, a fitting resolution was framed and a copy was ordered to be sent to his family and widow. A further tribute was paid to the memory of Mr. Bassett by the Kaipara Licensing Committee, when Mr. G. N. Hayes moved that a letter of condolence be sent to his widow. Mr. J. H. Luxford. S.M.. joined with the committee in expressing regret to Mrs. Bassett in the loss that she had received by the death of her husband, who had been a member of the committee for some 20 years.
