NURSING-HOME DISPUTE
ACTION FROM WHANGAREI SETTLED OUT OF COURT A case which promised considerable public interest and which was set down for hearing in the Supreme Court will not now be made publichaving been settled out of Court. Mary Nora Collins and Louisa Higginson, nurses of Whangarei, were to have proceeded against Dr. George Walker, also of that town. The dispute arose out of the sale of a wellknown nursing home, Montazali. A formidable array leg had been brought into court by Mr. A. H. Johnstone, who by Mr. Carruth, of Whangarei, to act for plaintiffs. Mr. G. I*. Finlay, instructed by Mr. Briggs to appear for defendant, had similarly armed himself. After a conference lasting iKmiy two hours, counsel notified Mr. JusthFrazer that an amicable sottleim n: had been effected.
