OWED MUCH, BUT OWNED LITTLE (From Our Oven Correspondent) HAMILTON, Wednesday. Hugh Cain, a bankrupt labourer, : aged 28, of Ohaupo, attended a meeting | of his creditors this morning. Bankrupt’s schedule showed debts , £199, his only assets being £ 6 in cash j and £ 5 worth of furniture. In his statement bankrupt said he leased a 50-acre farm at a low rental at Cambridge. He was soon involved in financial difficulties. As his creditors were pressing he was obliged to file. No resolution was passed, but the assignee said that if any undesirable features of the bankruptcy came under his notice he would call the creditors together again.
