FARM CART BEARS LORD TENNYSON'S BODY
(Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Tuesday. The body of Lord Tennyson was conveyed from Farringford to Freshwater Church to await burial in the farm cart used for the funeral of his father, the Poet Laureate. The coffin was covered with an Australian flag. The servants, tenants and villagers carried lanterns in the long procession.
