ROAD TO NATIONAL PARK
(Special to THE SUX ) WANGANUI. Tuesday. With the metalling during the summer of 10 miles of the newlyformed Parapara Road oy the Public* Works Department, there will be an all-weather route from Taumarunui to tlio National Park. This road will also reduce the distance from Wanganui to Raetihi from 120 miles to o'. Tho work has been in mind for the last 4o years, but it was not until rccimiy that work was begun. There were many difficulties to overcome in making deviations and altering bad grades.
