FIRING PRACTICE
WARNING TO SHIPPING A WARNING is issued to shipping masters, small-craft owners and residents of Devonport, that heavy gunfire will take place from North Head forts between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday, or, if conditions are unsuitable on that day, on Friday. In order to avoid damage to windows residents are requested to leave them open and to secure any articles likely to be displaced by the concussion.
