THAMES VALLEY (From Our Own. Correspondent J P AERO A, Tuesday. The Thames Valley championship was decided at Faeroa, Dr. A. S. Gray (Thames) defeating A. Rue ton (Paeroa), 6—2, 6—2. 6 —l. Ruston played good tennis and the game was closer than the scores indicate. Gray volleyed cleanly and crisply, his overhead shots being perfectly executed. In the final of the handicap singles tournament. Garland, scr. (Thames), defeated Ruston, scr. 70 —48.

TAURANGA, Tuesday. At Whakatanc. Tauranga, South Club beat 'Whakatane by 15 matches 305 games to 12 matches 290 games.
