Sir Georg© Fowlds left last evening by train for Palmerston North. Sir Edwin Mitchelson left for Wellington last evening by the Limited. Mr- H. Y. Cameron arrived in Auckland this morning from Hawera by the Limited. Mr. W. F. Adams arrived from England. via Australia, on the Maunganui this morning. Sir James Gunson, who has been visiting his son on the East Coast, has returned to Auckland. Mr. J- S. Dickson, ex-member for Parnell, returned from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. Alfred Somerset arrived from Sydney to-day by the Maunganui, and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Dr. R. F. Back, of Sydney, arrived in Auckland to-day by the Maunganui to spend a holiday in the Dominion. Mr. F. Lovell, Sydney manager of Harrington’s, Ltd., arrived in Auckland by the Maunganui this morning. Mr. and Mrs. 1L M. Wall, of Gisborne. returned to New Zealand by' the Maunganui to-day after a world tour. Mr. Dynes Fulton and Mr. W. Grounds were among the passengers who went South on the Limited last evening. Mr. J- F. Mackley, chief railway locomotive engineer for the North Island, left by the Limited for Wellington last evening. Mr. H. .p. Alartin, of the staff of the Melbourne “Argus/* arrived by the Maunganui to-day. He was formerly i n the staff of the Christchurch “Sun.” Father G. B. O’Meeglian, late of Timaru, was among the passengers who arrived on the Maunganui this morning. For the past Uvo years he has been studying abroatf Mr. W. A. Boucher, of Spedding and Co., Ltd., returned from a business visit to Australia in the Maunganui, which arrived from Sydney this morning. Sir James Mills, chairman of the Union Steam Ship Company, arrived at Fremantle yesterday by the Comorin from England. He will visit New Zealand, combining business with pleasure. Dr. W. G. Duffield, director of the Commonwealth Civil Observatory, near Canberra, arrived in Auckland as a passenger on the Maunganui this morning. He wil’l spend the next fortnight in New Zealand. The Hon. H. C. H. Bathurst and Mr. E. C. Lysaght, both members of the firm of Lysaght’s, Limited, sheet-metal manufacturers, are visiting Auckland in the course of a world tour. Mr. Bathurst is the second Ron of Lord Bledisloe, of Lydney Park, Gloucester. Among the passengers on the Maunganui this morning were Mons. M. J. Curran, vice-rector of the Irish College of Rome, who acted as Cardinal Cerretti’s personal secretary during the visit of the delegation to Australia.
