LADY HEATH FAILS TO BREAK HER RECORD —MOTOR “SKIPPED”
(Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9.5 a.m. NEW YORK. Monday. Lady Heath, the famous English flyer, attempted to break her own unofficial women’s altitude record. She was forced to descend, however, when the cold motor of her Gipsy Moth plane ’’skipped” at a height of 15,000 feet, according to the barograph. It Is said, however, that the altimeter registered 19,300 feet.
