Coding Machine For Admiralty
A machine capable of coding messages tcith such thoroughness that ii is practically impossible to decipher them, and afterwards decoding automatifally, has been
invented by two Aucklanders, Mr. C. F. Gardner and Mr. C. M. C. O'Brien. 1 jr. Gardner returned to 1 uckiand yesterday, a passenger on the yiagara. Since leaving Few Zealand Hi months ago he has been successful in making a contract with the Admiralty, and obtaining also the rights to exploit the invention commercially.
