A considerable body of opinion in the Alanunui Town District considers that the time has arrived when the town should possess municipal buildings. In support of the proposal a deputation consisting of Messrs. J. T. Bradley, Tl. Webster and T. I’. Jones, attended the last meeting of the board, emphasising that the time was opportune for the erection of municipal buildings, particularly a town hall. It was suggested that the hall, library, fire brigade office and Town Board office should all be grouped under one roof. After discussion the board resolved that the sports committee, which the deputation mainly represented, should call a public meeting t° deal with the matter, and the Town Board would attend. # * * The president, Air.
