BETTER POSTAL FACILITIES
IMPROVEMENT AT PAPATOETOE There was a good attendance of members of the council of the Papatoetoe Chamber of Commerce at a meeting held last evening. The president, Mr. H. C. Ernest, presided. Advice was received from the Postal Department that the erection of a stamp-vending machine at the Papatoetoe Post Office had been authorised. The chief postmaster advised that improved postal facilities would be provided at the post office, necessitating the appointment of an extra officer. The question of bringing cut a booklet eulogising the advantages of Papatoetoe as a residential suburb was referred to a special committee.
