N.Z. Breweries Easier (By “Noon Call.”) A SMALLER volume of business has been put through on Change over the past 24 hours. The market, generally, holds fairlv steady on late levels.

In the banking group. New Zealands have seen further business at 63s 3d. More were wanted at that figure this morning. New South Wales are firmer, buyers offering £SO 2s 6d at the early cafl. At mid-day sellers were firm at £ 30 ss, with buyers eased to £ 50. * * * Sellers of New Zealand Insurances • it 47s were not supported this morning. Sales were made at 46s 6d yesterday afternoon. South British are very firm, with buyers at 64s 3d. A.P.A.’s, sought at ss, were the only Australian shares listed. * * * In the loan and agency section buyers oi Goldsbrough Moris moved up 3d to 525, to find holders very firm at 52s (Sd. The section continues to find buyers 'veil in JLhe majority. In coals, th< market for Ilikurangis has a very strong tone. Pukemiros are depressed, with sellers at 66s unsupported. Renowns were dealt with yesterday afternoon at 15s 6d, the market holding firm at yesterday’s quotations,

sellers 16s, buyers 15s 3d. Westports I are neglected. * * * New Zealand Breweries are again fluctuating on a falling market. Sales were put through outside the call room this morning at 555, compared with 55s 6cl yesterday afternoon. Sellers at r,ss 6d at mid-day were unsupported. With the exception of Innes, Ltd., other brewerv shares are neglected. * * * Mining is quiet, Waihis were dealt with on a slightly easier market this morning and sellers at mid-day at 14s lid found buyers fallen to 14s Sd. * * * Business yesterday afternoon; On ’Change—Bank of New Zealand, 62s 3d; New Zealand Insurance, 46s 6d. Reported—Renown Collieries. 15s 6a; New Zealand Breweries, 55s 6d. Business this morning: On ’Change— Waihi Mining, 14s lOd. Business at mid-day: Reported— New Zealand Breweries, 555; Waihi Mining, 14s lOd.
