SHAREMILKER FAILS

“CASE OF MISFORTUNE” Sydney Clarence Hunt, a sharemilker, of Henderson, had his troubles vented at a meeting of his creditors this morning. After the examination, the official assignee, Mr. G. N. Morris, said that Hunt’s position, on the face of it, seemed to be a case of misfortune. Hunt said that he started as a farmer at Otorohanga in 1924. Misfortune followed misfortune, he said, and he was handicapped by lack of capital. At one stage he was forced to spend six months in a sanatorium through illness. He was married and had two children. He owed £l4B and his assets were £73. The amount owing to secured creditors, £162, was covered by the value of securities estimated to reach £2OO. There was no quorum at the meeting and no resolution, was passed.
