WIRELESS SHARES DROP
CANADIAN MARCONI (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) NEW YORK, Saturday. The shares of the Canadian Marconi Company, which had a sensational kerb market rise several days ago upon the receipt of cablegrams regarding the wireless amalgamation, the quotation reaching dollars, have suffered a serious relapse in the past two days, upon the dissemination of an Interview with the chairman of the board, which appeared in the Toronto “Financial Post.” . . This quoted him as stating that over three dollars a share was too high a price for the stock, and yesterday it dropped to 17 dollars and trading was then suspended in the stock. To-day the stock opened at 11 1-8 dollars, lost five points and closed at 10 1-8. Oyer 104,000 shares were sold within 40 minutes.
