SPRING MEETING NEXT WEEK FIRST DAY’S HANDICAPS Press Association WOODVILLE, Saturday. Mr. J. E. Henrys has declared the following handicaps for the first day of the Woodville meeting, to be held on Wednesday and Thursday, December 12 and 13: MAUNGATUA HURDLES Of £130; 15 miles.

Cowan (Pukekohe), Cymon; and T. Parkinson (Opotiki), Mosque. By steering three winners apiece, H. Wiggins and H. Goldfinch placed themselves to the fore as the most successful jockeys at the Takapuna meeting. Jolly Money (twice) and Cymon credited Wiggins with his success, while Goldfinch brought himself into the limelight through punching home Eager Hose, Mosque and The Lamb. R. McTavish also showed his ability and got Gemlight and The Lover first past the post, this being the only other jockey to score more than once. A win each went down to the following:—A. Tinker. Awarere; L. Manson, Transformer; N. Syme, Wenday; 0. Mclnally, White Wings; C. Butler, Glena Boy; C. Goulsbro, Royal Boulton; K. Gill, Te Atiawa; and C. France, Air King.
