MRS. CAROLINE SEEGNER Mrs. Caroline E. Seegner, who died at her home In St- Stephen's Avenue, Parnell, yesterday, at the age of 81. was the widow of the late Mr. Carl Seegner, Consul for Germany in Auckland from 1892 until the outbreak of the war. Born in England, Mrs. Seegner came to New Zealand with her husband in 1884, and had lived practically evei since in ParneU. Her husband predeceased her in 1920, and there are no children. __ MR. J- STORRY Mr. James Storry, a well-known Ellsmere farmer, has died at the age of 76 He was a member of the Christchurch Hospital Board, the Canterbury Progressive League and the L> ttelton Harbour Board. —P-A. MONSIGNOR P- O’DONNELL, V.G. The death occurred at Invercargill on Sunday, after a long illness, of Monsignor* Patrick O'Lonnell, V.G., rector of the parish of Invercargill, aged 6... Prior to his appointment at Invercargill, he was in charge of the parish of Gore for 33 years. He visited Sydney during the recent Eucharistic Congress. TWO FUNERALS AT DARGAVILLE | The late Mr. Thomas Bassett was buried at Mount Wesley Cemetery yesterday afternoon, the Rev. R. A. Shortly after this interment the late j Mr. James Marra, eldest son of Mr. | James Marra, of Awakino Point, was also buried at the same cemetery. aFther McDonald, of Dargaville, conducted the service of the graveside.
MR. J. P. IRVINE
Mr. James Patterson Irvine has died at Greymouth at the age of 63. He was a member of the Grey County Council, the Hospital Board, and a director of the Greymouth “Evening Star.”
