RIFLE SHOOTING
CITY AND SUBURBS CLUB The championship series of the City and Suburban Rifle Shooting Club was advanced a further stage over the 500 and 600yds ranges last week. Shooting conditions were good, but except for the top men in each grade the competitors shot below standard. The “baby” of the club, Rifleman L. P. Verrall, shot exceedingly well in compiling 87 off the rifle and won his grade spoon easily, the A grade spoon being won by P. J. Bring. The “knock-out” competition for the Laidlaw Cup was commenced and the teams match resulted in an easy win for Akarana. The results in detail are: A GRADE
