Murray has an entirely different role Ir ° m those found in his recent long comedies, or his earlier two-reel tarces. “The Head Man” was adapted trom Harry Leon Wilson’s whimsically humorous novel. “The Boss of Little Arcady,” and Murray’s characterisamakes him a figure of pathos as "ell as of comedy. Loretta Young and Larry Kent share honours in the love story of the pic- ;^ re - I.ucien Littlefield heads a quaint bVoup of supporting characters in a rjst that, thanks to the humanness of tory and characterisations, smacks of a-mous old stage play aggregations. However. “The Hed Man” is. full of un, which far over-shadows its dramatic moments.
