TREND OF POPULATION FIGURES FOR NOVEMBER Immigration figures for November reveal that arrivals for the month were nearly a third less than in November, 1927, and they probably include a large number of New Zealanders who j have spent the winter abroad. Departures for the month number only a few I more than iast year, 932, compared j with 909. J In November of 1927, 2,030 people arrived and 909 left. Last month 1,524 arrivals were recorded, and 932 people went away. For Ihe 11 months of 1927 the arrivals were 15,993 and the departures 14,63fi. and fer the corres- . ponding period of this year 13,672 j people arrived and 14,634 departed. ! The aggregate returns Cor the first 111 months of the year show that arrivals have been just over 14 per cent, less, while the number of outward passengers is almost identical.
