LUNA PARK OPENS
ALTERATIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS Luna Park will re-open for the summer season this afternoon, when thousands of Aucklanders will be provided with thrills on the many amusement devices on the grounds. Alterations have been made in the fun factory and river caves, special attention being paid to the lighting effects, while an amplifying system of loud-speakers will broadcast music through the grounds. The introduction of a universal system of cash tickets will do much towards cheapening the cost of entertainment for patrons, while the system of concession cards which include admission to the park will again be in force. The management intends to put in new devices on a concession basis in the near future. Important scenes of the famous Mason novel, “Four Feathers.” are under way at the Paramount studios. Ernest Schoedsaek and Merian Cooper are directing them. Richard Arlen. Fay Wray. Noah Beery and Clive B.rook have the main parts.
