PRINCE EDWARD
‘‘BEWARE OF MARRIED MEN” In “Beware of Married Men,” to be shown at the Prince Edward Theatre this evening, Irene Rich, as Myra Martin, has a role which admirbaly displays her versatility. She is the businesslike secretary of a divorce lawyer, a greyliaired “social worker,” and a captivating young woman, conscious of her power over mere man, all within the course of one of the most amusing comedies of the season. The reason for the story is Myra’s flapper sister who is being courted by a, married man-about-town, whose wife ertains Myra's employer as her lawyer. Myra sees the way the wind blows and adopts a disguise which turns the trick, saves her sister and causes some uproarious moments. ■'Diamond Handcuffs" is the other big feature. This is a fascinating story in three acts of the tragedy that follows a precious diamond wherever it goes in the world. “CHICKEN A LA KING” AT EMPIRE “Wifie turns gold digger!” Such is the state of affairs in “Chicken a La King." now at the Empire Theatre. The story has to do with a drab little wife, who has been browbeaten and bullied for nearly 20 years. Then suddenly she. is confronted with the startling facts that her Puritan husband has developed into a gay Romeo and is haunting a burlesque show. The wife, instead of praying for guidance, goes determinedly to bat and enlists the aid of two members of the chorus. Together they fleece the old rogue until they make him see the error of his ways and he returns home a sadder, poorer but much wiser man. “The Opening Night,!’ a drama of love and devotion, full of the romance of the stage and the freshness of the sea, is the second feature, starring Claire Windsor.
