THRILLS AND FANCY
LITTLE THEATRE’S TRIPLE BILL The triple bill which is being presented by the Auckland Little Theatre Society is meeting with the greatest success. Last evening another crowded house witnessed “Maid of France,” “Danger” and “The Boy Comes Home.” Each of the three one-acts is excellent of its own particular kind- “ Danger” is the thrill of the evening. It is played in pitch darkness, with some amazingly good effects of explosions and running water. “Maid of France” is a fantastic echo of the war, when a statue of Jeanne d’Arc comes to life at , he magic hour of midnight and talks with a Tommy and a poilu. “The Boy Comes Home” is one of A. A. Milne’s amusing fancies. Need more be said? Each of the three plays is handled splendidly. This is the last performance of the year by the society, and it promises to be one of the best to date. -
