N.Z. RAILWAYS READY NEW TIME-TABLES COMPILED During the holiday season last year and in the early days of this year, the New Zealand Railways carried 1,851,000 passengers. Ttfesc startling figures tell their own story of the necessity for organisation to meet the Christmas traffic. For weeks past the railway officials have been busily engaged working out time-tables that will cover the period from December 14-January 5, when the traffic demands are at their greatest. • The task has now been completed, and Christmas travellers are assured that the Railway Department has made all the arrangements necessary to meet their convenience.
