T~I is quite likely that Gold Money will be sent out a warm favourite in the Takapuna Plate tomorrow, and if she runs second her backers will be paid in silver. However, on her track form and her last outing—that was a couple cf months ago—it is exceedingly difficult to nominate one to beat the speedy Paper Money filly* provided she will give of her besL The Takapuna course is such as to make it essential for a horse to begin smartly to stand a chance Of winning, although in the Plate months ago Ti Tree must have stood a big field fully 20 lengttis ever the last three furlongs, ana then got up to dead-heat. And Gold Money now is prooabiy as good as Ti Tree in the last contest for the “hack classic.*
