A. J. ELLIOTT’S FINE WIN AUCKLAND CLUB’S GATHERING Pounding the Domain track to flash past tine 100yds post sn 10 1 -10 sec, A. J. Elliott, Auckland's crack sprinter, recorded a popular and brilliant victory off the back mark and in- a good class at a meeting staged by the Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club last evening. The meeting was favoured with a good attendance and both lield and cycling events were run off without a hitch, reflecting considerable credit on the officials in charge. The half-mile handicap spelt another victory for one of the club’s most consistent performers. L*. C. Barker. Barker has now a long string of victories to his name and in the second round of the SBoyds last evening he pulled out from the field along the back straight.
