MAGISTERIAL RECOUNT

BAY OF ISLANDS SEAT Press Association WHANGAREI, To-day. The magisterial recount of votes cast in the Bay of Islands electorate will be corrimenced at Kawakawa to-morrow morning by Mr. J. M. Luxford, S.M., of Whajigarei, assisted by Mr. F. Bird, returning officer for Marsden. There are 104 pfeircels of ballot papers to be dealt with, and the result may not be known until mid-day on Saturday. The recount is being made on the application of Mr. H. M. Rush worth, the Cormtry Party candidate. He and Mr. Alten Bell, Government candidate, received? the same number of votes and the returning officer gave his casting vote in favour of Mr. Bell, the retiring member.
