GIRL “NOT FIT TO BE AT LARGE” THREE MONTHS’ GAOL “I can do nothing with her; she is not fit to be at large.” Eunice Elizabeth Schick has been the despair of Major Annie Gordon, the Female Probation Officer. Schick, a domestic, aged 24. pleaded guilty at the Police Court this morning to breaking the terms of her probation order. She also admitted stealing three frocks and a manicure set valued at £6 17s 6d from Maggie Ken worthy. Major Gordon said that probation was useless, as Schick took absolutely no notice of it. According to Chief-Detective Hammond, the frocks had been stolen from a house in Herne lay where she had been staying. “Perhaps three months may straighten her up,” remarked Mr. F\ K.
