“JUMBO” WELLS DEAD
NEW ZEALAND CYCLIST COLLAPSE IN MELBOURNE Reed. 9.40 a.m. MELBOURNE, To-day. Frederick, better known as “Jumbo” Wells, the New Zealand champion . professional racing cyclist, collapsed in a city tram last night and died in hospital. His age was 43. He won a mile wheel race at the Motordrome on Saturday night. He was an all-round athlete.
