GERMAN POLITICS
STRESEMANN ON PARTIES (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Monday. The Berlin correspondent of the “Morning. Post” says the German Foreign Minister. Herr Stresemann.
addressed a meeting of the People’s Party. He strongly objected to the suggestion that the Socialists should shoulder the sole responsibility of government because they had been victorious at the general election. If the bourgeois parties refused to co-operate they were to blame if the Communists were strengthened, said Herr Stresemann. The bourgeois parties should foster the moderate elements of the Socialists,, who were ready to co-operate with the People’s Party. This would be a marriage of reason.
