“HOLD UP” IN EARLY MORNING HOURS—A sensational hold-up took place on the Great South Road near Westfield this morning at one o’clock. A party returning from the Te Kuiti races was held up by armed men. The highwaymen, who were masked, were concealed under this bridge, which is across the new railway deviation at Westfield. The motor-lorry shows the position of the car at the moment of the hold-up.
