SEAMAN INJURED

CARGO FALLS FROM SLING IDENTICAL ACCIDENT TWICE (From Our Own Correspondent) KAITAIA, To-day. A seaman named Paling, employed on board the ketch Coronation, broke a leg while the vessel was unloading at Awanui on Monday. The ship’s winch got out of order, and a half-ton parcel of manure fell on Paling, who was making up a sling of cargo in the hold. Medical attention was given the injured man, who was sent to the Mangonui Hospital. It is an extraordinary coincidence that the same man broke the same leg on the same week of last year.
